Sustainable: American White Oak (Quercus spp.), by colour and appearance similar to European Oak but distinguished by with more tonal and grain variation. Northern (Appalachian) sourced timber is considered superior to Southern.
Colour: the Sapwood is light coloured, the Heartwood light to dark grey-brown.
