To Ply over concrete sub-floor
step 1Diamond grind floor to remove construction debris, high spots and to ensure the best possible key to the slab, Vacuum floor and apply vapour barrier. Prime and level low spots.
step 2Trowel adhesive to slab, lay full size sheets of ply (2400 x 1200mm) at right angles to planned T&G fitting. Fix with masonry anchors; leave a 3-5mm expansion gap between edges and ends of each sheet. Sand ply flat, if necessary
step 3Fix with adhesive directly to ply and secret nail with 40 – 45mm staples. Stagger all joins.
step 4Sand,trowel fill, fine sand and apply polyurethane coating (min, 3 coats of poly).
