Battens over concrete floor

Grind floor to remove construction debris, high spots and to ensure the best possible key to the slab, Vacuum floor and apply vapour barrier. Prime and level low spots

Fit battens at 300 – 450mm centres to floor area and perimeter. Fix with adhesive and mechanical fixing i.e. counter sunk Dyna bolts or Hilti nails.

Apply adhesive to top surface of batten and lay T&G over (preferably end matched for strength & aesthetics) . Secret fix with 40-45mm staples. Stagger all joins

Sand,trowel fill, fine sand and apply polyurethane coating (min, 3 coats of poly).
